Behind The Scenes: SlimFast's NEW TV Ad

Picture a loft apartment in East London’s artsy Shoreditch, flooded with beams of sunlight and filled with the sounds of whirring blenders and equipment clanking across hardwood floors. This is the home of SlimFast’s brand new TV ad, which has kicked off the pre-summer diet season we all know and (try to) love. 
Starring singer, actress, and SlimFast ambassador Alexandra Burke, who has lost 2 stone with SlimFast, the ‘Works for Me’ campaign is focused on how easy and effective the SlimFast 3.2.1. Plan is. The TV ad also showcases the brand new and hearty SlimFast porridges and delicious SlimFast Advanced Vitality powder shakes.
The new ad features a series of both women and men in a range of work-life cameos, showing how they boss their days with SlimFast – whether it’s a Chunky Chocolate meal replacement shake for lunch during a busy day in the office or a warming bowl of porridge during some down time.
Our Leading Woman… and Man!
The ad shows SlimFast products supporting Alexandra Burke’s glamourous celebrity lifestyle with quick and easy meal replacement bars and deliciously nutritious SlimFast Advanced Vitality shakes. Alexandra’s contagiously upbeat personality even made midnight filming enjoyable for the crew, and her angelic singing voice was just an extra bonus!
Adding to the excitement, our first ever ‘SlimFast man’ makes an appearance in our new TV ad as he enjoys a SlimFast shake during a chaotic day at work, to the surprise of his colleagues. His charm and playful attitude made him the perfect addition to the SlimFast TV cast!

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a calculation that uses your height and weight to determine a number that represents your risk for obesity-related health conditions such as heart disease, hypertension and diabetes. The higher your BMI is over 25, the greater the risk of developing these conditions.**
**There are some limitations to the Body Mass Index calculation, because it does not measure body composition. BMI overestimates body fat in persons who are very muscular and it can underestimate body fat in persons who have lost muscle mass (e.g., many elderly). People with more muscular builds may be classified as overweight according to BMI numbers even if they have a very healthy body fat percentage. A high BMI from increased muscle alone is not associated with health risks. These are the recommended classifications for BMI, adopted by the Expert Panel on the Identification, Evaluation, and Treatment of Overweight & Obesity in Adults, and endorsed by leading organizations of health professionals.
