Try incorporating these 10 top tips from our personal trainer Eleanor into your SlimFast Plan to keep active and burn those calories:
- How long can you hold a plank for? Time yourself every morning this week - can you add on a few seconds each time?
- Start your morning with a cup of hot water + lemon to help aid digestion, ward off infection and strengthen the liver!
- Don't forget to get up from your desk and stretch every 20 minutes to prevent bad posture and improve flexibility.
- FACT: fresh air improves your mood and boosts your immune system. Try and get outside for at least 20 minutes today.
- Strengthen your arm muscles at work or home with a few triceps dips using your chair/sofa. No more bingo wings!
- Too much caffeine can damage your health. Substitute one of your daily teas or coffees with a herbal tea.
- Work those thigh and bum muscles wherever you are with a wall-sit. How long can you hold it for?
- Skip a load of saturated fats and salt and make your own sandwich for lunch instead of buying from a shop.
- Why not wake up 15 minutes before your alarm and work out? Try 20 star jumps, squats, crunches, push-ups and mountain climbers. Then repeat!
- Have 5 minutes spare? Take a brisk power walk - you could burn up to 100 calories as well as activating your lower body.

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a calculation that uses your height and weight to determine a number that represents your risk for obesity-related health conditions such as heart disease, hypertension and diabetes. The higher your BMI is over 25, the greater the risk of developing these conditions.**
**There are some limitations to the Body Mass Index calculation, because it does not measure body composition. BMI overestimates body fat in persons who are very muscular and it can underestimate body fat in persons who have lost muscle mass (e.g., many elderly). People with more muscular builds may be classified as overweight according to BMI numbers even if they have a very healthy body fat percentage. A high BMI from increased muscle alone is not associated with health risks. These are the recommended classifications for BMI, adopted by the Expert Panel on the Identification, Evaluation, and Treatment of Overweight & Obesity in Adults, and endorsed by leading organizations of health professionals.
