Hi guys!
I'm 20 and go to university, I'm desperate to lose weight, I weigh in at 13 and a half stone but strangely a 12/14 in clothes, 5ft 6 in height! I'm trying slimfast for the very first time and hoping to get down to 10 stone for summer and long term wise my health! But it's very difficult at university when a lot of my flatmates are skinny Minnie's and can eat more than me!
Just to clarify this is no offence to anyone older just that a lot of women on here have children and families and I can't really relate to that, would be nice to talk to someone in the same position! I need thinspiration from fellow students and you

Hi My name is Sam,

Although i dont go to Uni alot of my friends and family do so i can relate to the atmosphere of lets get a take away rather than cook something healthy. Which isnt easy.
What are you studying? Is this your first day today? Let me know if you would like to chat.

Hi Sammy!
Today is my second day and feeling great! My flat mates all got take out last night so I REALLY know where your coming from :) I would love to chat! We can egg each other on!
Are you looking to lose weight for image or health or both? What's your goal?
Natalie :) x
Am looking to lose weight for both really. Ive been in a relationship for 6 years and just got comfortable really. Now the doctors have told me that i am Clinically obese (so i want to get rid of that title) and i want to look toned and healthy.
Did you know that there are some take aways that do actually fit in with the slimfast 600 calorie meal option?
My other half took me to Nandos last night so I had a Chicken Pitta and a handful of chips. I went about 40-50 cals over but thats because i ate to many chips. Still i got to eat out and have a good time without worrying to much about what i was eating.
Have you got a goal date that you want to lose the weight by?
We're in the same boat! I've had a boyfriend for three years and I have definitely got too comfortable! Our favourite eating out place is nandos so I'm glad you've told me about that meal option... No more half chicken with garlic bread and chips :(
I am going on holiday on the 2nd April so wouldn't mind losing a bit before then but I know it will take longer than that long term! Rome wasn't built in a day! Are you doing additional exercise? Im Contemplating joining a gym but not sure?
So what office work is it you do in London? i work part time in an office so I know snacking is easily done in that environment!
Natalie x
Hey guys, I'm on my 5th day today! Dreaded weigh in thursdayI found the first 3days abit tricky but it's going ok now! I love that you can still have a good meal in the evening, Infact I've just had a homemade curry n even had enough calories spare to have a mini naan bread! I'm finding Im getting fuller sooner aswell which is good because I can eat for England! How are you all getting on? x

Hi abibasher!
I'm only on my second day and your right these first days have been tough but I'm sure will get easier in time! I only had one shake and some celery today so treated myself to a big vegetable curry for tea yum!
I see 3lbs in 5 days already!! Congrats, I'm jealous!! I'm just going to do weigh ins once a week or else ill get obsessed! Are you looking to lose weight for image or health?
Natalie :)
Thats alright glad i could help :D am slowly going through the places that we sometime go to see if i can eat anything there.
My Holiday is coming up in May and would like to lose most of it by then but i wont be annoyed if I dont. As long as Ive lost something by then ill be happy. Where are you off to on Holiday?
Im hoping to start Exercise next week as that is where i have fell down before. I tried to do both and eventually gave up on both. (Last time) i found myself a treadmill on ebay and bought it for £100 so that has been crowding our living room since August last year. This time I will get hard part of starting the slim fast over and then start running and indoor workouts next week. Dont have the extra cash for a gym but have been looking on a website called pintrest.com and they have loads of great ideas for workouts you can do at home even quiet ones for if you have children or partners who have different shift patterns! :D
I work at an insurance company called JLT just by Fenchurch street station (not many people know about it) its difficult as by mid afternoon i am starviing so used to pop out and get something. Now i am just reserving all my snacks till then :D Where do you work?
Sorry to waffle

Hi anisajazz!!
Both in the same boat then! Glad to have another young one on board lol! Size 8 oooh I can only dream! Holiday is always a good thinspiration, where you going? 1lb already, jealous :)
Keep us updated!
Abibasher!! How's it going? You've been doing this longer than all of us! Any recent weight loss celebrations?
Sammy!! Oooh where are you venturing on holiday? I'm off to Spain in April and travelling Europe in June (no pressure aye)! I have to say I'm very jealous you working/living central London, as soon as I've finished uni I'm off to the city! I work part time in the offices at my local enterprise rent a car (snack central!) I totally understand the exercise thing, I think it's little steps to begin with, you don't want to do too much too soon! Think I might try walking or jogging couple days a week to begin with.
Sammy without offending you can I ask what your bf's eating habits are like and if they affect yours? Because I'm finding this very difficult because of the bf, he likes to eat out a lot, fridge full of choc, fizzy drinks and I always feel like I'm missing out when he's eating and I'm not. (Unlucky for me I don't have a metabolism like him to pull it off!) when are you going to do a weigh in? I'm scared haha! xx
Am off to turkey in June after uni finish ,yh will will defo keep u posted.just got to placement this morning and I'm starving looking forwards to my 12oclock shake x
Am off to Australia for 3 weeks and cannot wait! We won the holiday as part of a competition and now i think it is the perfect excuse to try and lose some weight so i dont feel self concious around all those tanned skinnys. Travelling in Europe sounds amazing will you be working while your there or just visiting lots of places??
I will say that i love working in London but hate the commute i live 40 mins outside so it does seem like a waste of an hour and a half every day. Once im at work though i love it :D
I found a webpage for learning how to run (sounds silly i know) but they teach you how to build up your stamina over 3 days a week for 9 weeks. i53.tinypic.com/5bz86q.jpg
No offence taken at all :D. my other halfs eating habits are terrible. Especially if he is asked to cook. its either lets get a take away or he will do something and want chips with it so he buys chips from the fish and chips shop. His portion control is wrong as well so when he dishes up i end up with tones on my plate and i feel guilty when it gets left.
I always have a plain side salad (mostly lettuce tomatoes and sweetcorn) with every meal start eating that before i start on my meal so that fills me up before the meal does. When BF has chips i add a little bit of salad dressing to the salad instead of having the chips with the meal.
Unfortunately i cant find a substitue for the fizzy drinks but im hoping that the moment i start losing the weight it will be worth only having the odd cube of chocolate every now and again (last night my partner came home with a pack of 3 full size crunchys forgetting that i am on this diet and then left them ontop of my salad in the fridge so they can chill : ( )
I have also started researching where we can eat out and what the calories are if we do. Ill post them all up when i have found them.
Am weighing on a Saturday morning so i know if i still have to be as strict as i am during the week or if i can be a little more relaxed over the weekend. I am worried as i wont be happy if i havent lost anything after feeling so hungry all week.
Hope Uni and diet are going well for you? If you do start to struggle someone said about looking at sunny pictures of the places that you are going and thinking about how good you will feel when you are there and at the weight you want. Not sure how good this will work as all i can think about right now is a King size snickers :( Sorry to put that in your head
Sammy
Hello,
hope you don't mind me jumping in and joining your chat! I am in serious need of some thinspiration (stealing your terminology as I like it!) I am 26 and so hoping i still count as a young one!
I had a big diet /weight loss push 2 years ago and lost over 3st, however then i kinda plateaued and haven't really lost any more in the last year. Luckily I haven't put it all back on but am still "obese" and really want to find the motivation to get back on the bandwagon!!
Have you discovered myfitnesspal? its a website and phone app - it can tell you the calories and nutrition details of loads of different foods ( including restaurants ) and exercises - it can log your daily intakes and is really easy to log everything - when i first got into it it was great because I knew i would have to log it if i ate it which stopped me being naughty.... now i am a bit more lax and forget to put stuff in but also trying to be more strict with that!
My biggest issue is that as a teacher and generally busy person I use sugar to keep my energy levels up and am in the very bad habit of jumping from one temporary high to another - i am also permanently tried so can never be bothered to cook properly....
Hope your all having successful diet weekends!
