My name is Sammy and i am 23. I work in an office in London with all the usual food distractions that can come with the enviroment. Due to being in a comfortable relationship of 6 years i think i have let myself go. (Enough of the boring excuses tehe). My partner and I have won the holiday of a lifetime to Australia via Singapore at the end of May and I want to look my best.
I have tried dieting before and struggled alot so would really appreciate a person to chat with and someone that is going to check up on me lol. Its not easy at work as my boss (lovely though he is) has a habit of being a feeder. I lost some weight last year and although i am 12 and a half stone (obese according to my doctor) he says that i have lost to much and trys to sabotage me offering me chocolate, chips, crisps, coffee and all the other lovely things that I am missing to distroy any diet i have been on.
Hopefully i am now taking action and going to lose those 3 stone once and for all! Sorry if i have moaned to much but wanted to get it all out there in the open so you know what your getting yourself into. Am really looking forward to hearing all your stories and hopefully helping some of you along my journey.

Hi Sammy, Yeah we are all the same, My dad always offers me food, he doesn't eat meals he grazes all day long, stock up on fruit as your snacks and if your gonna cheat make sure it's fruit, that what I tell myself to do : )
great snack ideas is fruit/veg and protein combination, sliced apple and low fat cheese chunk grated, as it's so much nicer grated :) or cucumber sticks and humus, avocado is super great, it was my secret diet weight loss item, yes it is fat BUT good fats and protein so having a large avocado salad every week is a good thing : )
I have been on and off dieting for 2 years so I have lots of tasty ideas if your interested : )

Hi Sammy, : ( I got special K for my dinner tonight LOL that's not was you was expecting me to say I bet lol
After my terrible attempt last week, I started out having this and that getting way to adventurous, so keeping it strict for the next week, I'll have that and some fruit after as my dinner than maybe a snack.
But my freezer is full of yummy stuff and I stocked up on the shakes so when I get back to the dinners I can have fun : ) I got these Quorn sticky fillets I have instead of chicken ( veggie )
But I love cooking meat dishes, not afraid of cooking meat for others.
What kind of things do you like?
Fish, Chicken, pasta, rice, meats, spicy?
I love greek food, Italian, Mexican, thai, I think I love all food.
Tip one Have a side salad with every meal it's mostly water and eat it with your dinner, try and eat LOTS of different veggies, not just steaming them, roasting them is so yummy with herbs or gently frying them in low fat spray. have a plate full of colour isn't that what they say lol just watch sauces as your be adding to the cals and try all different kinds of veggies like mallow, egg plant thingy lol, sweet potatoes, trying different veggies keeps it interesting.
I love cheese :( my weakness! Stuffed peppers, spinach, ricotta and mushrooms, or stuffed shitake mushrooms,
Salads with low fat moz, and beef tomatoes, or low fat feta, the cheese is main part to the meal so I'll have salad and veggies.
Tuna is very good for weight loss! sea food salads.
Spanish omelette so yummy, I add everything to it, all veggies, 1 cooked and sliced potato, mixed herbs, pinch of garlic, salt n pepper and gently fry it in spray then add your eggs and eat it with salad, or filled omelettes so many choices :D
I love spicy! I make a super chilli not sure how many cals are in my chilli :( spicy chicken & salad inside a low fat wrap, kebabs grilled.
A green thai curry I make mine with low fat cheese now and not that fish sauce gross lol, I keep it simple add thai paste Pinch of curry powder and little coconut milk, not the canned milk, rice is good for you but your need to watch your portion size, basmarti is better but doesn't taste as nice tho :( but if you have a small amount of rice then big salad works instead of just rice then your not missing out,
I love pasta so much lol a fav - spicy mushroom in a cheese sauce, I got it in London restaurant, tonne of different wild mushrooms, I think it has some spinach in it but it was spicy med hot and so nice I make my own attempt with the low fat cheese not as good tho
I really love some of the things jamie oliver does with his veggies! lol I have heard good things about the hairy bikers but I don't know how healthy they're dishes are.

I tend to eat anything I just like to have variety as I get bored eating the same thing over and over .
I recently bought the hairy bikers diet book and that is really good because it has all the calories in the book by the recipe.

with 600 cals there is so many dinner things you can have : ) even few weight watchers chips, 120g frozen lol I got some last week, not greatest chips ever but nice to have in the freezer, and don't forget pizza hut do a weight watchers pizza now for under our limit, so you can eat out, that with a salad your be full up! just remember lots of fresh fruit and veggies : )
and lots of water :( lol

I am thinking of weighing in on a Saturday mornings so that ill either know to be really strict over the weekend or a little but more relaxed.
yesterday was really feeling hungry so switched my meal from dinner to lunch but had a huge plain salad when i got in as my last snack with my shake so it worked out alright.

Hi Sammy, not a great week for me, I'm really fighting the cravings, pmt : ( I got some slimsticks, god are they vile!!!! lol so my cals are over, plus the slimsticks are 40 cals each doesn't help, but I'm still hanging in there, I think I have lost about a 1lb and a half and I haven't been super strict, so the sooner I can get this dinner party out of the way I can really focus! it's a set meal, like 4 courses and my dad is paying, Japanese, so on that day I'll try not to eat much and on the Sunday maybe just the shakes, and joy today I have a birthday cake to make : ( lol
