I was wondering if I can use semi skimmed milk instead of skimmed milk to do the shake with the powder? I started yesterday but I can find skimmed milk!
you cant find skimmed milk? how come?.... im not sure if using semi skimmed milk would work the same... youd probably have to use less but then it would make it taste diffrent...
In calorie terms, the difference between the two will be around 30 per shake. As the whole Slimfast plan seems to be reducing calories, I cant see where the problem would be. It would only be an extra 60 calories a day.
I normally buy cartons of the long life skimmed milk (supermarket own brand can be as cheap as 49p a litre). It's off the shelf though and not in the fridge.
It's hard in Ireland to find skimmed milk. How much should I reduce the quantity of milk if I use semi skimmed?

In response to your query, using semi-skimmed milk instead of skimmed milk is absolutely fine - it will provide you with the same amount of protein, and there is no major difference between the different nutrients. However, the only difference is that the calories are slightly higher.
100 ml of skimmed milk = 35 calories
100 ml of semi skimmed milk = 46 calories

Now that slimfastcareline has responded saying it's ok to use (didnt want to assume, i'm new to this too) I'd just use it and not worry about the 60 or so calories.
I use Semi skimmed milk and it's only been 4 days but I've lost nearly 3 pounds so don't worry over 50 or so calories...besides semi tastes better than pure skimmed anyway LOL.Just add on another mile to your walks or another 10 minutes of cardio.
